Bandizip X - Zip, Rar, 7z Extractor/Unarchiver App Reviews
It works fine with foreign codepages on the filenames. For the person who said it refused to extract filenames with Korean characters try going into Bandizip X preferences (you can get to this by opening the app in Applications) and changing the encoding preference from Default to Korean. This usually seems to take care of it. There is no magic bullet here and I don’t think it would necessarily be possible to auto detect the correct encoding on filenames. I do this for Japanese encoded filenames.
Its very nice one especially for Korean speakers; however, its only for compressed-file extraction. Its very convenient for all types of compressed file.
Needed to open some .rar files this did it immediately, also changes the icons for the file types to be instantly recognizable which is nice when I am searching through my folders.
Great app to open files but not worth the purchase when there are so many free one that do the exact same thing for free. This application has to do alot more things If you want to charge.I wish I could get a refund for it.
very nice app!
iss so powerful! simple! i love this app.
The Best Unarchiving App Ever!
These is no limit with this app!! Super nice!! But I hope it has the function that can see inside files before unarchive them.
Every thing I do with this app give me an error. I couldnt extract batch files because I wasnt doing it in order, I had already extacted loads of the files and it wanted me to start over. Wasted too much of my time never mind charging me for it
Ive tried several unarchiving program. But, I think BandizipX is the best one on the market. I could extract rar, zip, 7z without any problem. I just think overall this is a lot better than unarchiver!

Not worth it, it just spammed my desktop.
When I downloaded this, I thought "ERHMAHGERHD BANDICAM FOR MERC!" but then I realized this is a completely different program. But that is my fault, and this deserves five stars.
After struggling to open .jar files and only sometimes succeeding, the time came to just own up and admit I had a problem. Dont wait like I did! Avoid the frustration, the excess coffee drinking, and nail biting. This app is well worth the cost, and has taken the guess work out of the portion of my day that would usually be dedicated to cracking open those .jar-s. Thank you Bandizip for this wonderful app!
It says it supports extracting multi-volume “part1.rar” or “part01.rar”, etc archive files, but when I double click the set of far files starting with the first, an error dialog that says “unknown file format” pops up.
Either on OS X and Windows, this is my favorite unzip tool. It’s reliable, flexible, and universal. Especially, for Korean Mac users who suffer from the accursed .alz and .egg formats, this is the salvation. Althogh the OS X version has a price tag, it’s worth every penny.

Doesn’t work on Yosemite. The page to choose Archive Formats comes up but no way to actually run the program and convert a file. Worthless.
1. Well, Bandizip is basically well known in Republic of Korea. I expected nice performance on extracting achive contain files named in FREAKING Korean characters. Result? was no luck with giving all unreadable filenames. (Still, this experience does not matter indeed when in need) 2. Moreover, if you want to extract archive just next to itself, please use other unarchievers. It keeps target extraction directory to previous directory - I DO NOT WANT TO BLAME THIS EXPERIENCE because sometimes I also want it. Still, this case should be set as an option. 3. Conclusion: Not bad, still needs more work on. It worth its price, so far so good.
